- What is a sub-merchant account, and why do I need one?
Establishing a sub-merchant account with AndDone will create a "virtual account" for your business/agency. This virtual account will be used for CC & ACH payment acceptance and to administer payouts to your preferred approved bank account for your pay-in-full payments.
- What can I expect when filling out the onboarding application?
As required by law, the onboarding application requests details that help AndDone establish ownership and control prong details. You will be asked to submit a social security number, date of birth, home address, and % of ownership to verify and establish your account.
- What is a beneficial owner?
Beneficial owners are individuals who either directly or indirectly exercise substantial control over the legal entity or own/control at least 25% of the reporting company’s ownership interests.
- What is a Control Prong?
According to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a Control Prong is a single individual with significant responsibility for controlling, managing, or directing a legal entity customer. The following image from FinCEN illustrates how to identify Control Prongs.
- Required Details for Legal Entities
Legal entities are required to include their Tax ID and details for the designated bank account where paid-in-full funding can be remitted.
- Why do we ask for your personal information?
Personal information (such as your SSN and residential address) is required to open and maintain a sub-merchant account on behalf of your agency/legal entity. As a payment facilitator, we collect information about your business to conduct customer due diligence and comply with federal Know-Your-Customer / Know-Your-Business regulations.
